Guide to L&D Knowledge Levels & Types

A document I created to provide basic information regarding how we can look at knowledge and skill transfer during adult learning experiences.

The five different knowledge levels align with what is found in the common Bloom's Taxonomy resources and should help with determining the action verbs to use (and actions to focus on) when creating learning objectives.

The four types of knowledge are drawn from the most common types of problems I build learning solutions for. From declarative knowledge to conditional knowledge and skills, these categories can help us identify whether activities (and/or the overall learning approach) should focus on things like simple recall or more procedural precision.
